Interpersonal Intelligence – What It Is

Also known as “people smart”, Interpersonal learners tend to be extroverts, characterized by their sensitivity to others’ moods, feelings, temperaments and motivations, and their ability to cooperate in order to work as part of a group. These kids learn information best when working with others on the subject matter.

But strong interpersonal intelligence doesn’t always mean that your child will be a leader in every situation. Kids with people smarts feel comfortable in any group role and are able to adapt their behavior to different environments or individuals by “reading” the feelings, positions, body language and/or lifestyles of the situation… Though, many are grounded in a moral and/or ethical mindset that elicits an activist stance on issues that matter to them.
